At the age of 58, I have embarked upon a midlife challenge I did
not anticipate-what I like to call an “unexpected divorce adventure”.
I retired from my profession in 2004, and am no longer certified to work as a speech/language pathologist. I have decided to embark upon an entirely new career as a therapeutic masseuse, and plan to enter a certified program which will require a 2-hr commute 4 times per week. Since my income as a single woman is about 25% of my former, shared income, I am seeking financial assistance to help pay the cost of this 36-week training program. Please advise.

I attend Delta State University in Cleveland, MS. My major is Speech and Hearing Science, because I would love to become a Speech Pathologist. My graduation date is May 2015, and I am a senior facing huges amounts of problems in paying for my last two years. Due to changing my major, I ran out of federal pell grant and I am not sure what to do next. I finished the Spring semester of 2013 with a 3.25 G.P.A. I really want to finish my Bachelor’s Degree in Speech and Hearing Science in order to attend graduate school to become a Speech Pathologist. I really need the help and I promise you that you will not regret helping out. If there is anyway possible that I could obtain any money paid directly to my current school that I am enrolled in I would greatly be appreciative.

I am a mother of 3 girls, I own a small business, however it is not making any money.
I am currently enrolled in 2 programs (which are both distance education, with a hands on component). They were my only options to learn my chosen fields of study, but they are wonderful programs I am loving very much. My previous education includes diploma programs, a bachelor degree and post-graduate education.
I am studying a veterinary naturopathy doctorate and a manual osteopathy doctorate. I am a Canadian student, however the veterinary naturopathy school is in the US. The manual osteopathy school is in Canada. I am having a very hard time finding scholarships for programs such as mine, scholarships for private schools such as mine, however, I really need to find a scholarship to help me out. I know that it said that they have to be accredited medical schools and they are both accredited by certification boards, but they are private schools. My osteopathy tuition is due in February, so I want to find something I can hopefully get to help me pay for my next semester tuition. I make monthly payments for my veterinary naturopathy degree, however, due to finances, I had to put my studies on hold, but my leave is now up and I need to begin paying again.
The veterinary naturopathy program includes animal massage, and I plan to specialize in animal massage/osteopathy. I will have to do a few extra courses upon completion of the doctorate for animal massage, but that is the route I would like to take. I want to be able to work part time with people using manual osteopathy and part time with animals using massage and osteopathy.
I can find scholarships for veterinary medicine, however they do not include veterinary naturopathy. I can find scholarships for specific schools for acupuncture, etc., but nothing for manual osteopathy. I can’t find any scholarships for women doing school or women with children that are for private schools like mine are.
I am hoping you have a scholarship I can apply for with my situation or at least know of where I can find some to apply for.
Not only do I want to be able to care for the animals and people in my community which is underserviced in manual osteopathy and animal massage & osteopathy. I want to be able to help my oldest daughter who would like to go to school to become a veterinarian. She would be able to work with me which would help her with her application for vet school (when she graduates high school and applies), as well as give her the opportunity to work with animals since she loves them just as much as I do. I also want to share my knowledge with my other 2 girls. They have chosen to go into fields that also are in natural health. I want to build my practice up by that time so I can pay for their education. I feel it is very important to show my 3 girls that women can do anything they want as a career, they can do anything they put their minds to and they can be successful, not having to rely on anyone else.
I also need to start my practice in what I am studying to finally start making money. Currently I am not and my husband is struggling to support the 5 of us. I want to be able to help him so he doesn’t have such a hard time doing so and we can better provide for our girls.
Any information you can give me is very much appreciated.

Upon entering my young age of 50, I am returning back to school to get a Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or a Unit Secretary, which is responsible for the order entry, order transcription, inter and intradepartmental communication of the Medical -Surgical, Telemetry Units. I am a USA citizen and I want to help others- either hands on or in a office setting. Recently laid off by my company and by Corporate Greed, my entire 401K was stolen right under me. I am literally starting over and need the assistance in doing so. Please advise if anyone can assist with information on programs, grants or financial assistance..
    Thank You God Bless
